The Proposal

KairiAfter searching for months looking for the perfect stone, Kairi entrusted the services of Randolph’s Jewelers in Philadelphia to assist with making this proposal a reality.

After obtaining the ring and wondering how to present an option that would change both of their lives Kairi composed words on paper that would make his question become sealed in stone (diamond that is!).

Aleasha, after having a confused look on her face, said YES! She was more surprised than any other emotion could explain. But she did say yes!

When looking upon the past, present and future the only thing that comes to mind is smiles from ear to ear. I can now laugh at things that once made me cry. The reason for this at first I didn’t know why. But, after the time we have spent I now see the peace , the happiness and the clear road ahead. This road is not filled with beautiful fruits and berries like those of an imaginary dream. The road we are headed for is a real one. One with bumps and bruises, twists and turns and a course that can change at a moments notice.

In hindsight, the things that are important now are those that spell success and longevity. My life has gottenĀ  better since being with you. My heart has grown fonder since I let you in and my mind is now at ease as I make decisions that don’t just affect me but my decisions now involve we.

So, after this time has passed and the love is stronger, the only thing to do is explore life together on a path to complete happiness. But, where does this path begin? Does it begin with a thought or a statement? This path begins with a commitment. A commitment that is more important than anything ever encountered. This commitment is not between me and thee, but it includes another as well. This third party will be the head, the one who we will consult for days to come. This is the Father whom we love, whom we trust and whom we must devote this commitment unto.

This next step into the future involves me and it involves you. This next step is where our path begins.

Will you?
